SAN MARCOS, Texas – Through the first four innings, Texas State (32-16, 14-9 Sun Belt) scored six runs on its way to a series clinching 8-2 win Saturday afternoon over Georgia State (24-24, 11-12 Sun Belt) at Bobcat Ballpark.
"I thought we played really well today. was really good as he battled through some cramps and shutdown a good Georgia State offense," said head coach . "Biggest thing is we got to them early, which is what I asked the guys to do to take the momentum."
(2-2) went 5.2 innings with seven strikeouts and allowed two runs on four hits to pick up the win.
