NEW ORLEANS – For the second straight week, junior forward Kaylee Davis of the Texas State soccer team was selected as the Sun Belt Conference's Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday after her performance against ULM in the conference opener.
Davis scored the opening goal of the third annual Teal Match early in the 17th minute after Mackenzie Smith won a challenge and knocked the ball to the Allen, Texas native. The tally turned out to be the match-winner with the Bobcats going on to shutout the Warhawks.
Late in the 51st minute, Davis netted her second goal of the match when she took a rip from a tight angle on the right side.
