SAN MARCOS, Texas – Three Texas State soccer players were named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District VII teams on Thursday, the most in school history. Selected to teams were seniors Chandler Cooney and Rachel Grout and sophomore Genesis Turman.
Selected to the first team was Grout, who will now be up for Academic All-American® honors and will be announced on Dec. 7. The senior is majoring in industrial engineering and carries a 3.97 GPA. This season she tied for the team lead with eight goals, six assists and 22 points.
