The Bobcats, who registered a 31-28 mark, were still a far cry from the program’s best years, however. When he addressed the media for the first time back in January, Ty Harrington said 2016 would be about restoring a championship culture at Texas State.
That, simply put, didn’t happen as the Bobcats bowed out to Arkansas State last Friday night, finishing four wins shy of a conference title. It was the first time that Texas State, which joined the Sun Belt in 2014, failed to reach the tournament semifinals.
“I think they did a good job,” Harrington said.
