College Baseball: Texas State kicks the ball around in 12-8 loss to Troy

There's a phrase that Texas State head coach Ty Harrington uses all the time.

If the Bobcats have a clean fielding game, Harrington says his players took care of the baseball. When the opposite happens, Harrington's team didn't take care of the baseball. During Friday night's series opener at Bobcat Ballpark, Texas State did too much of the latter in one inning and consequently suffered a 12-8 setback at the hands of Troy.

Sure, the Bobcats (22-21, 10-9 Sun Belt) banged out 19 hits and scored enough runs to win under most circumstances, but that third column stood out the most (read: three errors).
