The losing skid in midweek road games ended an inning later.
Texas State busted through the door, collecting a 12-3 victory over Baylor on Tuesday night inside Baylor Ballpark. In the process, the Bobcats (9-4) snapped a 22-game skid in midweek contests away from San Marcos, dating back to Feb. 28, 2012, when Ty Harrington’s team beat No. 18 TCU in Fort Worth.
“It was a tight game in the eighth, but I thought we did a good job offensively of creating an inning and staying patient and not trying to do too much," Harrington said. “Our base running was exceptional tonight.
