Cory Geisler felt good in the bullpen before Sunday's first pitch.
He felt confident as he walked from the bullpen to the dugout.
And after almost three hours of baseball on Sunday inside Bobcat Ballpark, the senior was elated as Texas State collected a 4-0 victory over Appalachian State to complete a series sweep.
In his first start of the season and only the fifth one of his career, Geisler, who found some trouble in the first inning after Luke Sherley's errant throw, eventually settled into a groove and keyed a dominant effort on the mound for the Bobcats (15-5, 6-0 Sun Belt).
