College Baseball: Close competition at every position fueling the Bobcats' early season success at the plate

The same could be said of Dylan Paul or Ryan Newman or Jaylen Hubbard.

Right now, the competition to break into the starting lineup or stay there on a daily basis is fueling success on the field, at least that's what head coach Ty Harrington has said throughout the opening third of the season. The Bobcats, after all, have used 20 different lineup combinations in the span of as many games.

It's hard to argue with the results as Texas State (15-5, 6-0 Sun Belt), aside from a hiccup at home against the Texas Longhorns and last week on the road against UTSA, has won 12 of its past 14 games.
