Bill Krueger - 23 years removed from a 39-year legendary basketball coaching career - can still be astonished and humbled by the result of seeds he has sown from a star-spangled vocation.
In a career adorned with tributes, hall of fame and hall of honor inductions, this week’s announcement that the former Clear Creek and Clear Lake head coach would receive the Morgan Wootten Lifetime Achievement Award evoked special emotions from the 83-year-old Texas basketball legend.
“I think this, by far, is the biggest honor I’ve received,” Krueger said. “There’s only one person that gets it every year across the nation.
