NEW ORLEANS – After a standout performance in goal last week, Katelyn Chrisman was named the Sun Belt Conference's Defensive Player of the Week. It is the second time that the senior has earned the honor in her career and the first time a Texas State player has received one of the weekly honors this year.
Chrisman recorded two shutouts last week against App State and South Alabama while making two saves in both contests. Last Thursday's shutout of the Jaguars was just the second ever against them and first time doing so at home.
