ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – Yvonne Chamness sits inside the top 15 to lead the Texas State women's golf team at the season-opening Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational at the UNM Championship Course.
As a team, the Bobcats sit 11th, while UNLV leads the field and CSU Fullerton and Long Beach State are tied for second.
Chamness opened the day 1-over 73 on the first 18, posting four birdies on the back nine to close the round. The second round saw the junior go even-par to finish the day tied for 12th at 1-over 145.
