MOBILE, Alabama – Jack Burke fired a pair of rounds in the 60s to lead the Texas State men's golf team after two rounds at the Hal Williams Collegiate hosted by South Alabama at the Magnolia Grove Golf Club.
The senior used a season-low 65 in the first round, which he followed up with a 68 in the second, to give himself a 36-hole, 9-under 133 and place him just three strokes back from leader Zach Kingsland (-12) of SMU. Burke's 11 birdies, seven of which came in the opening round, is the second highest total at the tournament.
