SAN MARCOS, Texas- Texas State offensive line coach Clay McGuire is similar to many of his contemporaries at this time of year as he tries to discover who are his top six-to-eight offensive linemen and develop some consistency within his ranks.
"Typically, I have a starting five, and there have been years where I had a sixth man," McGuire said. "Those six guys played the entire game unless you were in a situation where you can get mop-up duty. I prefer having a top eight that consists of a top five, backup right side, backup left side, and a backup center.
