JONESBORO, Ark. – A complete game shutout by and an eight-run, nine-hit fourth inning propelled Texas State to a 10-0 run-rule victory in seven innings Saturday afternoon over Arkansas State at Tomlinson Stadium.
Brown is the first Bobcat to go the distance in a game without allowing a run since Zachary Leigh did so on Apr. 1, 2021 against UT Arlington at Bobcat Ballpark. Against the Red Wolves, the Northwestern State transfer struck out four while allowing just three hits and one walk to improve to 1-3 on the year.
With the victory, TXST is now 22-23 overall and 8-13 in the Sun Belt Conference while ASU drops to 19-24-1 on the year and 6-13-1 in league action.
