SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State baseball team suffered a 1-0 setback to McNeese State in the series finale Sunday afternoon at Bobcat Ballpark.
The Bobcats, having already clinched the series with wins Friday and Saturday, were unable to push a run across to fall to 3-4 on the season. The Cowboys (1-6) earned their first victory of the campaign a year after winning the Southland Conference Championship.
TXST's best chance to score came in the first inning. The maroon and gold drew three walks to load the bases, but the threat ended with a groundout.
