SAN MARCOS, Texas– Texas State softball continued its effective play at home with a 2-1 win over South Alabama for the team's 19th home win of the season.
Highlighting the night was a two-hit outing from Maddy Azua in the circle. She tossed the complete game and allowed just one run while striking out four batters.
WHAT HEAD COACH RICCI WOODARD SAID: "That was a win we grinded out on that one. Some of that's because Maddy Azua threw a great game and did a great job at doing what we needed her to do.
