SAN MARCOS, TX — Coming off an emotional roller coaster win on Thursday night, the Texas State women's basketball program used a highly-productive third quarter to earn its 66-58 win over ULM on Saturday.
With ULM leading by 10 at 43-33 with 6:11 following a pair of Kierra Crockett free throws, Jaeda Reed started took a Kennedy Taylor pass and converted on a turnaround jumper in the paint to cut it to single digits. Reed's basket sparked a 9-0 run to cut the Bobcats' deficit to one. Over the last three minutes of the quarter, Texas State went on an 8-2 scoring run to take a 50-47 lead into the third quarter.
