SAN MARCOS, Texas – After the conclusion of the winter sports' seasons, Texas State is tied for the top of the Vic Bubas Cup Standings, the Sun Belt Conference office announced. Along with Arkansas State, the Bobcats are leading the race for the Bubas Cup, which is the Sun Belt's all-sports championship and awarded to the top athletics department in the conference based on a points system.
Texas State and the Red Wolves have each tallied 70 points, putting them ahead of South Alabama (61) and App State (58).
The Bobcats are atop the standings thanks to a regular season title claimed by the men's basketball team – its second in as many seasons – and runner-up finishes by both the men's and women's indoor track teams.
