COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Day one of the Texas A&M Invitational saw Texas State pick up three wins over players from high profile programs on Friday, Oct. 16 at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
The day opened with two rounds of doubles play and seniors and knocked off Texas A&M's Jessica Anzo and Lucia Quiterio, 7-5.
The Bobcats other two wins came in singles play with Kvapilova also picked up a singles win over Texas Tech's freshman Kailey Evans 6-1, 6-7 (8), 6-0. C. Israel-Lewis also captured her first singles win of the year by defeating Texas' Gabby Cusano in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1.
