BOONE, NC – Texas State swept the series against App State getting a comfortable 7-2 win to close the series on Sunday afternoon. After a second three-run first inning in two games, the Bobcats continued to rule scoring runs in four of the seven innings for the win.
The first inning the Bobcats saw three hits and a three RBI homerun from Sara Vanderford. Vanderford's home run to left field is the 28th of her career and gave the Bobcats another three-run opening inning against App State.
Jessica Mullins would start at pitcher for the Bobcats and get two strikeouts to hold a 3-1 lead for the Bobcats after one inning.
