SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State baseball team dropped a 7-4 midweek decision to Sam Houston State Tuesday night at Bobcat Ballpark.
The Bobcats (3-6) fell behind early and were never able to catch up to the visiting Bearkats (4-4).
SHSU plated two in the opening frame, but the maroon and gold was able to respond with a single marker in the second on an RBI single from true freshman . Both sides tacked on a pair of additional runs over the course of the next four frames, but a three-run homer from Blake Chisolm in the top of the seventh would prove to be the difference.
