SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Sam Houston Bearkats came into Strahan Arena came away with a narrow 66-62 win after turnovers plagued the Bobcats Tuesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Coming into the game, both teams were prepared for a close game. With a split record of wins and losses between these two programs and a equal balanced history, it was going to be close the entire way through and that's what ended up happening. To open the first quarter, the Bearkats were able to find an edge. Capitalizing off Bobcat turnovers, the Bearkats 10 points off turnovers were enough for them to take a 16-12 edge in the first quarter.
