SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State baseball team (2-1) split Saturday's doubleheader with Stony Brook (1-2) at Bobcat Ballpark. The Bobcats took game one 6-0 and fell in the night cap 3-2.

Strong pitching performances from right-handers Trevis Sundgren (1-0) and Otto Wofford helped TXST post the earliest shutout in a season since 2013. Sundgren went seven innings and did not allow his first hit or baserunner until the fifth. The Silsbee, Texas native also struck out six without allowing a walk.
