JONESBORO, Ark. – The Texas State women's basketball team (9-9, 4-2 Sun Belt) ran away from the Arkansas State Red Wolves (8-9, 3-3 Sun Belt), earning an 85-62 victory on Saturday afternoon inside First National Bank Arena.
Texas State's 85-point afternoon marked the highest single-game output for the Bobcats in Sun Belt Conference play since TXST defeated Appalachian State 92-50 on Feb. 3, 2018. The scoring outburst amounted to the most points scored against an NCAA Division I opponent this season.
"I said it in the pregame, but it is worth repeating. I thought the forward group played really well for us today," head coach Zenarae Antoine said.
