WACO, Texas – The Texas State baseball team (9-4) scored five straight innings to run-rule Baylor (8-4) 12-2 in eight innings Tuesday afternoon at Baylor Ballpark. It was the Bobcats first win in Waco in two years.
Picking up the win in his first career start was Tony Robie (2-0). The freshman right-hander struck out one while giving up just two runs on four hits in six innings. He ended his outing by retiring the final 11 Baylor batters he faced. Suffering the loss was Anderson Needham (0-1) as he surrendered four runs on two hits and walks in 1.
