SAN MARCOS, Texas – Senior guard Nijal Pearson moves to No. 4 on the program's all-time scoring list and head coach Danny Kaspar logged his 100th win with Texas State (2-1) as they rolled past Prairie View A&M (1-2) 75-48 Tuesday night at Strahan Arena.
"I consider this a good victory for us," said head coach Danny Kaspar. "They [Prairie View A&M] almost beat Central Florida at Central Florida and they have some good players returning from their NCAA Tournament team last year. We did struggle at the end offensively, so we have to do a better job and finish strong, but I was proud of our defense.
