POINT CLEAR, Ala. – Texas State holds a six-stroke lead through two rounds of the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship's stroke play as the Bobcats shot 6-over 294 as a team on Tuesday at The Lakewood Club.
In windy conditions, the Bobcats had the third-best score of the 13 teams in the field in the second round. Hailey Jones, who is one stroke back of first-place Daniela Campillo of ULM in the tournament, was one of five players on Tuesday to shoot even-par or better. The graduate student turned in an even-par 72 as she is even-par (72-72; 144) going into Wednesday's final round that will determine the individual medalist honors.
