LAFAYETTE, La. – The Texas State men's golf team concluded a cold, windy and wet first day of the Louisiana Classics in fourth place at 16-over par 592. Both Logan Lockwood and Calvin Ross are in the top 15 heading into the final round at the Oakbourne Country Club.
Ross paces all Bobcats with a 2-over 146 and is in a tie for 11th with Illinois' Giovanni Tadiotto. He began the tournament shooting a 2-under 70. The junior made the turn birding holes 18 and 1. On the par 5, 522-yard seventh hole, Ross carded an eagle to be one of seven golfers to record one during the day.
