SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State football team kicked off its 2018 spring practice on Tuesday morning in Bobcat Stadium. It was the first of 15 scheduled practices that culminates with Texas State's annual Maroon-Gold Spring Game.
"It was a typical first day," head coach Everett Withers said. "There was some good, some bad. But, I thought the energy level was good and going into our third spring, the guys are starting to get what we are trying to get done every day for two hours. Not all of it is pretty, but we are competing and that is the main thing.
