BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – On day one of the Sun Belt indoor conference championships, the Texas State track and field team had four athletes find the podium in the finals of their respective events and one relay team place third and set a new school record.
Men's long jumper Chris Preddie was the lone Bobcat to bring home gold on day one of the conference championships. Preddie recorded a 7.47m/24-6.25 jump to secure first overall and win his first indoor title in the event. He is back in action tomorrow in the finals of the triple jump.
