SAN MARCOS, Texas – Despite a 16-point night from Jaylin Foster, Texas State women's basketball suffered a 72-62 loss to the second best team in the Sun Belt, Arkansas State, on Saturday afternoon.
Foster's 16 and Ja'Mia Harris' 11 points led the Bobcats on the night while Foster also led with seven rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Bobcats got off to a slow start that allowed the Red Wolves to go up 15-5 ahead of the first media timeout. From there, Texas State was able to match points through the tail end of the first quarter to keep it close, going into the second quarter trailing 20-11.
