Bobcats Fall At Appalachian State 35-10

BOONE, N.C. – Texas State was unable to overcome four first-half Appalachian State touchdowns and a smothering Mountaineer defense as the Bobcats fell 35-10 in Boone, N.C., Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened:

  • Texas State (2-6, 0-3 Sun Belt) scored on its first possession for the fourth straight game – this time counting a Marcus Ripley 25-yard field goal. The Bobcats marched 67 yards in 5:22, using 13 plays to take the 3-0 lead. Tyler Jones was 7 of 8 for 63 yards during the drive as four different receivers caught balls from the senior signal caller.
