Bobcats Fall 5-1 At No. 5/7 Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas State scored in the top of the first, but Texas A&M, which entered the contest ranked as high as fifth in the nation by ESPN.com/USA Softball, scored three in the fourth and two in the fifth on its way to a 5-1 win Wednesday evening.

Texas State (24-6) sent seven to the plate in the first inning, but Texas A&M's Samantha Show responded to face the minimum over the final six innings in limiting the Bobcats to a single hit.

Show finished earned the win for the Aggies (29-3) to improve to 11-2 on the season, while Randi Rupp suffered just her third loss of the season in dropping to 15-3.
