Bobcats ‘excited’ to open practice, set expectations for new season

SAN MARCOS, Texas — The offseason is quickly eluding the defense at an alarming rate as Wednesday, Oct. 14 marked the first day the NCAA allowed Division I basketball programs to begin having official practices in preparation for the 2020-21 basketball season, which begins on Nov. 25, 2020.

"I'm excited because you know you basically have six weeks to get your team prepared, which is plenty of time from a conditioning standpoint," said Texas State women's basketball head coach Zenarae Antoine. "I think, if you take a look at the big picture, this team in this particular year is pretty special in that we have a lot of additions but we also have a lot of young women who will be turning the corner from their sophomore year to their junior year having had substantial playing time.
