SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's golf team concluded the Jim West Intercollegiate, its home tournament, on Tuesday at Wolfdancer Golf Course in seventh place at 16-over par 880 after a third round 298. Pacing the Bobcats was freshman Chase Ambrose with a 54-hole total of 2-under 214 to end up tied for eighth.
Ambrose carded a 77 in the final round with two birdies for his second top 10 finish of the year. The Katy, Texas native ended the tournament tied in the players' standings with Little Rock's Tyler Reynolds.
Second on the Bobcat squad for the tournament with a 221 (+5) was Eloy Gonzalez.
