NORFOLK, Va. – For the second time in the last three games, Texas State overcame a double-digit deficit on the road to win as it dealt Old Dominion its first loss at home this season with a 52-46 victory on Thursday at Chartway Arena.
Texas State (14-6, 6-3 Sun Belt) trailed by as much as 12, but with a stifling defense that limited the Monarchs (13-9, 5-4 Sun Belt) to 25.6 percent shooting in the second half, the Bobcats climbed back to win and claim a winning record on their three-game road swing.
The Bobcats also dropped ODU's home record to 9-1 and held the Monarchs to their fewest points in a game this season.
