SAN MARCOS, Texas – Two goals in a matter of seconds in the first half from South Alabama was the difference as Texas State fell 3-0 Thursday night at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.
The result drops the Bobcats to 11-3-2 overall and 5-2-1 in the Sun Belt while the Jaguars are now 9-1-6 on the year and 5-0-3 in conference play.
"This was a very competitive match. South Alabama is a very good and talented team that has players who can finish," said head coach Steve Holeman. "I thought we competed well and fought hard.
