JONESBORO, Ark. – Friday's doubleheader saw two one-run contests but both went against Texas State as Arkansas State claimed the first game 5-4 and the night cap 8-7 in 10 innings at Tomlinson Stadium.
The losses drop the Bobcats to 21-23 on the season and 7-13 in the Sun Belt Conference while the Red Wolves are now 19-23-1 overall and 6-13-1 in league play.
Game 1
On the mound, Austin Eaton (3-4) struck out three but surrendered three runs in 3.2 innings on six hits to take the loss. Arlon Butts (2-1) allowed a run on two base knocks in two innings to pick up the win while Blaine Harpenau threw two scoreless frames to earn his second save.
