AUBURN, Ala. – The offense manufactured runs and the pitching staff allowed only three hits as Texas State downed Liberty 3-1 in the second game of the Wilson/DeMarini Classic on Friday afternoon in Auburn, Ala.
The Bobcats used small ball to score a pair of runs in the second and one in the fifth, while pitchers Quincy Charleston, Jodi Paige Williams and Randi Rupp combined to strike out seven and surrender a single run.
Charleston made her first start of the season in the circle and pitched into the fourth.
