SAN ANTONIO – Texas State (25-13) avenged an earlier loss this season to I-35 rival UTSA (28-9) with a 5-3 win Tuesday night at Roadrunner Field. The victory was the Bobcats' fifth over a ranked opponent and the second straight coming on the road.
"Probably the most common thing is we have pitched really well. Multiple guys stepped up tonight with [Triston] Dixon out and [Nathan] Medrano going down. We just found a way," said head coach Steven Trout. "When you get to this point, it's not about how pretty your wins are, it's about finding a way to win.
