THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Texas State women's golf team turned in a 293 round Monday to finish 14th at the Jim West Challenge, played at The Fazio Course at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas.
The Bobcats closed the tournament with a 5-over par round of 293 en route to totaling a three-round score of 38-over 902 (311-298-293). Texas Sate benefited from its par-3 scoring, playing the holes at a combined 3-over for the tournament. The Bobcats, who improved on their score each round, also finished with 38 birdies and 149 total pars.
Florida State, ranked second by Golfweek, captured the team title with a 24-under 54-hole score of 840 (280-281-279=840).
