NEW ORLEANS – Senior Courtney Johnson, junior T'Mond Johnson and sophomore Devina Schneider were honored with the Sun Belt Conference Athletes of the Week awards after strong performances at the first two meets of the season. C. Johnson was named the women's field honoree, T. Johnson earned the men's field award and Schneider received the women's track accolade.
C. Johnson opened the indoor season by taking home the high jump title at the Purple Tiger Invitational with a clearance of 1.75m (5-8.75). She followed by finishing second at the Ted Nelson Invitational after getting over the high jump bar in 1.
