HOUSTON – Texas State will, for the third time, be participating in the Astros Foundation College Classic. The event is scheduled to take place Mar. 1-3, 2024 at Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros.
The Bobcats previously played in the tournament in 2019 and 2022. In those two appearances, they have posted a 3-3 record and placed six players on the all-tournament team that included Nicholas Fraze claiming the 2019 Most Outstanding Player award.
Opening up the tournament, Texas State will take on Houston at 11 a.m. It will be the first time the teams have met since the 2021 season and saw the Cougars extend their all-time advantage in the series to 33-20.
