SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State baseball team earned a 10-1 victory over Prairie View A&M Tuesday night inside Bobcat Ballpark.
The triumph improved the Bobcats' record to 18-11, while the Panthers dropped to 12-23 on the year.
TXST initially plated three runs in the third inning to take the early lead, and the maroon and gold pulled away with a seven-spot in the seventh. The big frame tied the season high for most runs scored in one inning. Prairie View A&M was only able to respond with a lone tally in the top of the seventh.
