NEW ORLEANS – For the second straight week, Texas State's Dalton Shuffield was selected as the Sun Belt Conference's Player of the Week.
The honor is the third this season for the senior shortstop. The only other Bobcat to take home a weekly honor three times in a year was Carson Smith in 2011. Shuffield is also the first player in program history to take home back-to-back weekly conference accolades.
Last week saw the San Antonio native extend his hitting streak to 10 games after recording four multi-hit games. He finished the week hitting .
