Mobile, Ala. – The Texas State men's golf team moved up a spot to finish in eighth place at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate on Tuesday as the Bobcats opened their spring schedule carding a 16-over-par 880 (294-289-297) in the three-round tournament on Monday and Tuesday.
Sophomore Chase Ambrose led the Bobcats as he tied for 19th place in the individual standings after shooting two-over-par in the final round on the Par-72, 7,212-yard Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course. Ambrose ended the tournament with a three-round 2-over-par 216 (72-70-74).
Freshman Logan Lockwood posted Texas State's best score in the third round when he shot an even-par, 72, and ended the tournament at 6-over-par (73-76-72).
