JONESBORO, Ark. – The Texas State baseball team evened up a weekend Sun Belt Conference series with a 10-3 triumph over Arkansas State Saturday night at Tomlinson Stadium.
The Bobcats (23-23-1, 11-12 SBC) elevated back to .500 on the year, while the Red Wolves dropped to 16-26 overall and 7-16 in league action.
TXST scored early and often, plating runs in each of the first five frames. The maroon and gold added a 10th tally in the eighth to complete the scoring. A-State scored three in the bottom of the first but was held scoreless the rest of the way.
