AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas State baseball team lost 2-0 to Texas Tuesday night at UFCU Disch-Falk Field in a midweek non-conference showdown.
The Bobcats dropped to 22-16 on the year, while the Longhorns improved to 25-15. The victory also gave UT the season series two games to one over TXST.
Texas plated solo tallies in the third and sixth frames, and Texas State was unable to respond despite loading the bases with no outs in both the second and seventh innings.
Sophomore Jacob Almendarez finished 3-for-4 at the plate. He also had three hits against the Longhorns on March 21.
