HOUSTON – Trailing entering the ninth inning, the Texas State baseball team (3-2) scored four runs in a rally attempt that fell short 7-5 to Houston Baptist (1-4) Wednesday at Husky Field.
HBU got off to a 1-0 lead as Parker Wayne hit a solo home run to left field on the first pitch of the game from TXST.
The lead was short lived as Wesley Faison cranked a shot over the left field wall in the next half inning. The homer was the first of the junior's collegiate career.
In the bottom of the second, the Huskies answered back with a run on a single by Wayne to retake the lead.
