SAN MARCOS, Texas – Forty-four Texas State student-athletes received their "T" Rings on Friday morning as the new class of athlete graduates concluded their Texas State academic careers with the coveted ring and graduation ceremonies this weekend.
Along with their "T" Rings, the group of 44 student-athletes also received customized graduation stoles and Sun Belt Conference medallions to wear during commencement.
The "T" Ring symbolizes excellence on the playing field as well as the classroom. To receive a ring, student-athletes must receive a "T" letter from the athletics department, complete their NCAA eligibility at Texas State, and earn a bachelor's degree during the same academic year or within one year after their NCAA eligibility expired.
